ANOTHER MILESTONE FROM AMB. UCHE OGBUAGU

Today at the floor of the hallowed Chambers of IMO Parliament, the Majority Leader and the

Honourable Member Representing Ikeduru State Constituency Amb. Uche Ogbuagu moves a bill for a law to Review the 2020 Imo State of Nigeria Appropriation law No 43 of 2019.

The law became necessary due to the global pandemic coronavirus, which affected global market including oil price from which the National Budget and that of Imo State was made.

The 2020 budget of 182, 049, 396,166( One Hundred and Eighty Two Billion, Forty Nine Million, Three Hundred and Ninety Six Thousand, One Hundred and Sixty Six Thousand Naira Only)

The amount was scaled down to a realistic amount of 95,347,637,782 ( Ninety Five Billion, Three Hundred and Forty Seven Million, Six Hundred and Thirty Seven Thousand, Seven Hundred and Eighty two Naira)

The bill was unanimously  accepted  and passed by the lawmakers  after going  through the legislative procedures of enacting a law.

It's now ready for  onward transmission to the Governor for his assent.

Another milestone from the dynamic Majority Leader and totally supported by his colleagues.

According to Jo Alutu (1963:4) the putative projeniter of Nnewi people was a man called Digbo. Therefore, the history of Ngugo Obaire is woven around a man called Obaire Ike. Ike was the son of Duru who migrated from Eziama Obiato in Mbaitoli local government area. Duru lost his way during hunting expediction at Ugirike. Duru gave birth to Ike and Ike begot many sons that make up what is known today as Ikeduru.
