Today at the floor of the hallowed Chambers of IMO Parliament, the Majority Leader and the Honourable Member Representing Ikeduru State Constituency Amb. Uche Ogbuagu moves a bill for a law to Review the 2020 Imo State of Nigeria Appropriation law No 43 of 2019. The law became necessary due to the global pandemic coronavirus, which affected global market including oil price from which the National Budget and that of Imo State was made. The 2020 budget of 182, 049, 396,166( One Hundred and Eighty Two Billion, Forty Nine Million, Three Hundred and Ninety Six Thousand, One Hundred and Sixty Six Thousand Naira Only) The amount was scaled down to a realistic amount of 95,347,637,782 ( Ninety Five Billion, Three Hundred and Forty Seven Million, Six Hundred and Thirty Seven Thousand, Seven Hundred and Eighty two Naira) The bill was unanimously accepted and passed by the lawmakers after going through the legislative procedures of enacting a law.
