A Nigerian man has gone viral for the right thing after building a soakaway pit for gas and electricity generation - Pictures of his creation have received over 13,000 likes with thousands of engagements - The man's skill may just be one of the things the country needs for sustainable developments . Another Nigerian has shown that there are citizens in this country with amazing skills to use indigenous solutions to drive the developments that the nation needs.                      Another tragedy has struck the country as Sam Momah, a retired military major-general and former minister of science and technology, passed away. Momah was said to have died on Wednesday, July 29, due to complicated diabetic issues. His death is not said to be Covid-19-related. According to The Nation, Momah, who launched his 13th book titled: “Restructuring to save Nigeria from post-oil disintegration”, marked his 77th birthday on July 6.   Ogenyi Onazi has exclusively told The press that three months outstanding salaries and a backlog of owed bonuses were the reasons he terminated his contract with Turkish Super Lig club Denizlispor and not his injury reports. The Nigeria international said Denizlispor acted unprofessionally during his stay at the club. “Yes, I quit Denizlispor. The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has linked some members of the National Assembly to some contracts awarded by the Niger Delta Development Commission, The PUNCH reports. Akpabio, however, did not state if the lawmakers were directly awarded the contracts or they nominated the projects under their Zonal Intervention Projects, also known as constituency projects. The former Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on the NDDC, Mr Nicholas Mutu, who represents the Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency of Delta State, is among those linked by the minister with contracts. The minister listed Mutu’s name against 74 projects, including various emergency road projects in Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivers states. The Federal Government has resolved to formally engage the Senate with a view to clarifying some perceived misconceptions that featured last week when the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Power, Gabriel Suswan, presented a report titled, “Addressing Nigeria’s power sector problems” for debate at plenary. Suswan had said the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), signed power agreements with Azura to generate 450MW of electricity. But a top Presidency official told journalists in Abuja on Sunday that the Power Purchase Agreement became operational in April 2013 before the Buhari regime. The Senate had expressed concern over the monthly payment of $30m by the Federal Government for power and resolved to assemble local and international experts to review the agreement.
