Sam Momah: Ex-Nigerian Minister Dies At 77

                    

Another tragedy has struck the country as Sam Momah, a retired military major-general and former minister of science and technology, passed away. Momah was said to have died on Wednesday, July 29, due to complicated diabetic issues.

His death is not said to be Covid-19-related. According to The Nation, Momah, who launched his 13th book titled: “Restructuring to save Nigeria from post-oil disintegration”, marked his 77th birthday on July 6.

The former minister is a one- time adjutant general and commander of the Training and Doctrine Command.

According to The Guardian, Nwoha died in a ghastly accident on his way to Owerri, Imo state to celebrate the Sallah festival. In the report, Abba said: “With heavy hearts and impregnable sobriety, the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affair (NSCIA) hereby announces the demise of its Director of Administration, Mallam Yusuf Chinedozi Nwoha."

He died in a road accident at Okene, Kogi State, on his way to Owerri in Imo State for Eidul Adha last Wednesday.” A former deputy director in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Nwoha was NSCIA’s representative at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
