They are young men who live their lives on the fast lane. They love the good things of life but lack the legitimate means to acquire them. Rather than seek legitimate means of fulfilling their fantasies, they took to cybercrimes, defrauding unsuspecting individuals and organisations until they recently came under the radar of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The Governors resolved to “intercede with the labour unions, the Federal Government and other stakeholders and especially call labour to exercise caution in its plan to embark on an indefinite strike action, noting that any such action will worsen the already deteriorating economic situation of the workers brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.” They also resolved to set up a committee made up of the Governors of Jigawa (Chairman), Nasarawa, Ogun, Kwara, Gombe, Abia and Bayelsa states to interface with the National Economic Council (NEC), the labour unions and relevant stakeholders for the overall interest of the nation. Tension As Explosion Rocks Lagos, Ogun Communities

  Panic gripped residents of Lagos and Ogun border communities on Thursday following an explosion and massive fire. The explosion, which was heard as far as Harmony Estate and Obawole, Ogba, Iju in Lagos as well as Akute Ogun State, was said to have occurred around 3:30pm around Balogun Bus Stop in Ishaga. The Nation gathered the loud bang, which many residents reported across social media platforms was as a result of a gas tanker about to enter a newly built plant in a residential neighbourhood. 20 Kidnapped Victims And Others Rescued By Troops, In Katsina

  No fewer than twenty kidnap victims, including eleven women and unspecified number of children have been rescued from bandits at different locations in Katsina State, The Nation has learnt. At Fankama and Sabon Layi area of Faskari Local Government Area of the State, eight abducted persons were rescued following intelligence reports that bandits dressed in military camouflage uniforms were sighted with the victims. Also, troops of Operation Sahel Sanity who were on patrol at Chabas area of the State, rescued a truck driver, 11 women and children who were on their way to Batsari Market but were abducted by the bandits along Shimfida – Gurbi road, following a distress call. Barely seventy-hours after it lost the governorship election in Edo state, the National Assembly election petition tribunal sitting in Niger has sacked Kasim Danjuma, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Magama/Rijau federal constituency by-election held in the state. This Day reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Danjuma winner of the by-election held on March 27, 2020. Legit.ng gathered that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the by-election, Emma Alamu, had approached the tribunal over the poll. He accused Danjuma of submitting forged documents to INEC thereby making him ineligible to contest the by-election. A teenage youth was today arrested in Umuduebo, Umunakanu, Ehime Mbano for allegedly stealing clothes and wheelbarrow that belong to one Mr Damion from the aforementioned community. The robber who stated that he hails from Umueze 1, confessed to the crime seeing the momentum built up by the villagers to descend on him. On further interrogations, he described his act as the work of the devil..... ''I don't know when I do this stealing, it's the work of the devil, I have been in this village for three times to steal clothes, wheelbarrow and other valuable assets. I always hang arround waiting for people to wash their clothes before i steal them. His confession shocked the villagers who suggested he could be a ritualist but the boy disclaim their suspicion stating that he wears every clothes he stole.
