According to Jo Alutu (1963:4) the putative projeniter of Nnewi people was a man called Digbo. Therefore, the history of Ngugo Obaire is woven around a man called Obaire Ike. Ike was the son of Duru who migrated from Eziama Obiato in Mbaitoli local government area. Duru lost his way during hunting expediction at Ugirike. Duru gave birth to Ike and Ike begot many sons that make up what is known today as Ikeduru. Traditional Rulership Of Ngugo Obaire Obaire was the fifth son of Ike, the incidence in the life of Obaire which forced him to run to Amaraku in Mbanu make interwarlists believe that Ngugo Obaire migrated from mbano. KEY leaders of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) have been killed in multiple airstrikes conducted by the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole on Lake Chad island settlements in Borno State. Some prominent terrorists’ leaders including Abu Imraana, ISWAP Naval Commander, as well as Mallam Ibrahim and Mallam Abba, were believed to be among those killed in the attack. According to a statement by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major-General John Enenche, the missions were conducted following credible intelligence, which indicated that some ISWAP leaders and their fighters had relocated to Sabon Tumbun due to the impact of the recent airstrikes at a nearby Island settlement. Tension In Rivers State As Soldiers Beat Policeman To Death

A Police inspector, identified as Hosea Yakubu, has been reportedly beaten to death by soldiers at Eleme Petrochemical gate, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Yakubu was said to have incurred the wrath of the soldiers when he drove against traffic while on duty in a patrol van on August 16. A brother to the victim was quoted as saying that Yakubu and two other officers were returning from a patrol duty and chose to drive against traffic to avoid a gridlock on Eleme road. He said when his brother got to the company’s gate, a military man on mufti stopped them and confronted them for driving against the traffic. A heated argument was said to have ensued between the policemen and the soldiers, prompting one of the soldiers to slap the police driver. Tension In Kaduna As Gunmen Kill 21 People

Gunmen killed 21 people in Wednesday night attacks on four Kaduna State villages, the Police confirmed on Thursday. An unspecified number of houses were burnt by the marauders, including one belonging to a dead colonel. Police spokesman Muhammad Jalige said three people were injured. The attacks were followed by the killings that have been going on in the southern part of the state.
